On January 21-22, we gathered together as a band family for a retreat.
Our guests for the weekend were Colonels Kenneth and Paula Johnson as well as a
special appearance by Andrew Blyth who was in town for the Territorial Music
Committee a day before.
The weekend featured lots of singing, listening to the word, food, and
included a night where we made our best attempts at bowling. It was a time that
we could put our instruments down, spend time together and focus on what our
mission is not only as a band, but as a christian musician in the Lord’s Army.
Band pins were handed out to the eight newest members, and there was an
opportunity for each member of the band to sign the new band manual and to
rededicate to the Lord and to the mission of the band.
We thank God for these opportunities of fellowship and spiritual renewal and
pray that it will bring us a new focus to what we do.
